Can You Travel Across Alberta To Photograph Our Team?
Yes! I regularly travel around Alberta. My entire headshot studio is portable, which allows me to work remotely. Coordinating travel for your corporate headshot session to any town or city in Alberta is not difficult or inconvenient.
A $350 (+tax) studio fee is included in a business headshots invoice outside my studio, plus travel and accommodations is required.
Do You Offer New Hire Photos (If We Have To Update Our Team’s Corporate Headshots)?
Yes! Creating a consistent visual look with your corporate headshots is not a problem, even if we have to photograph additional team members after the initial shoot.
Your new hires can visit my studio in Edmonton, or we can arrange additional corporate headshot photography sessions at your office.
What Should I Wear For My Corporate Headshot Session?
The best clothes for your corporate headshot session are items that make you feel comfortable and that you love. The more you love them, the more confident you'll feel, and the more natural you will feel when directed in front of the camera.
If you wear glasses, bring every pair that you own! Some glasses tend to photograph better than others, and swapping out a pair between shots is super easy!
What Should I Do With My Hair For A Corporate Headshot Photo?
Style your hair as you would on any day at work or if you were attending a friend's wedding. Choosing a style more similar to your everyday look will ensure people don't feel disconnected when they see your photo and meet you in real life.
If you, like me, have long hair, consider bringing a few hair ties, as having your hair in a ponytail can make your image more striking. If you do this, I'd recommend we shoot your pictures with your "hair down" and styled first to ensure we capture some great looks that way before throwing any hard work from styling away into a ponytail.
What If I, Or Members Of My Team, Are Not Photogenic?
That’s the secret - everyone is photogenic! All you need is the right photographer who can help bring that out of you.
I have a tried and tested process that will make it easy to "show" confidence and approachability, regardless of how you feel about getting your photograph taken. Even if it’s your first time working with a professional photographer. 😊
Are Some Photos Better For My Company Website vs. My LinkedIn Page?
The answer varies and depends on how you’d like to present yourself online. Different poses and looks can be leveraged in different marketing instances, proposal documents, or online platforms, however it’s not mandatory.
There are a few instances where multiple images can make sense. For example, a strong business photograph for LinkedIn can feel different than an image you would use if you were being featured in a magazine with a business portrait that covers your entire body, head to toe.
If you have further questions, we can dive deep into those when reviewing your session images. Additional images may be purchased for $75 per image (retouching included).

I provide an invoice which is easily payable online. I accept Visa, Mastercard, and eTransfer.
Upon scheduling, a 50% deposit payment is needed to lock in your corporate headshot session in my calendar. The remaining 50% of the balance is settled before final image delivery.

Although it sounds counterintuitive, heavy makeup does not photograph well and results in an unnatural-looking final product. Sparkly eyeshadow and large false eyelashes should be avoided. A "less is more" approach will provide stunning results in headshot photography.
I recommend a lighter application of makeup that makes you feel comfortable in the studio, and I can always retouch your photographs in the editing stage for a perfectly flawless and natural you.
Having said that, if you love lipstick and like to have fun with bold lipstick colours, feel free to bring those along with you, and we can shoot some images with those lip colours to make your images really pop!
You will have access to a private restroom and a large mirror if you are worried about anything during your individual headshot session or want to do a quick touch-up!
-
DO NOT shave your facial hair for your corporate headshots!
Bring your razor or beard trimmer with you to my studio! You will have access to a private restroom with a large mirror, and if you'd like some clean-shaven photos, you can shave AFTER we take some really cool pictures of you with your facial hair present.
If you're comfortable with facial hair or stubble, let's capture you at your most comfortable first, and then we can shave if you need photos without facial hair.
If you're like me and your skin can get red or bumpy-looking after you shave, or if you nick your skin, don't worry; I can take care of that during retouching, and it will not be present in your final image!

It can feel overwhelming when deciding which images you prefer, so I've designed my process to help remove a lot of the trouble for you and make your life much easier.
First, after your corporate headshot session ends, you and I will sit at my computer and review all of the images. My camera is connected directly to my laptop, so it's easy for you to see exactly what your pictures look like.
I'll walk you through a fun "Keep it or Delete it" game so we can narrow your selection down and offer my professional input on what makes an image stand out from the next.
After your session ends, I will send you a private link to your gallery where you can take some time between the shoot and make a final decision so that you can look at your images more objectively.
-
I personally retouch all of your images. I know it can feel weird having someone look at every part of your face, but know my process is entirely judgement-free!
I take care of things like flyaway hairs, blemishes, or even balancing skin tones if you're having a bit of an 'off day' when we shoot. I want to make you look as you would on your best day and ensure your headshot photos match your brand or business aesthetic.
I strive to keep aspects that make you unique while ensuring your image meets professional marketing standards. You will not look glossy or blurry or like you're on an episode of trashy reality television (sigh, my wife got me hooked on Love is Blind and I've seen my share of shows like it!).
-
It varies depending on the size of your team.
If your team has fewer than 20 people, I can spend a bit more time with each individual, and I recommend around 10-15 minutes per person. If your team is larger than 20, I can get each person's photo in around 5 minutes.
I guarantee that the image quality will always be the same, regardless of your team’s size!
Lastly, I suggest allocating extra time for your executive team, partners, or any front-facing members regularly featured in your marketing or proposals.

The answer depends on the size of the team and will be clearly communicated to you during our phone consultation.
